According to the Wiener Zeitung, Anna Rispoli's work was a hit at the Wiener Festwochen 2022: "In Close Encounters, the audience found themselves entangled in a dialogue with young people. News from the world of young people." The Nestroy-nominated project creates a closeness between people who do not often meet in everyday life. Based on conversations with Vienna apprentices and students between the ages of 15 and 19, a joint text was created revolving around ideas about the future, fears and longings, individualism and community from a young perspective. The audience is invited to act out the dialogue in 1:1 encounters with the young people involved. "Sometimes you have to become someone else in order to understand who you are. This is the close encounter," says the artist and activist about her play.
