These four short stories are set on the streets of Donbass during the war. No place is safe, and nobody understands what is going on. Even in the midst of chaos, however, some people manage to control others. But in this world where there may be no tomorrow, not everyone is defenceless and vulnerable. Even the most innocent can take charge.
 
Natalia Vorozhbyt is a playwright, screenwriter, film director and curator of social theatre projects. She was born in 1975 in Kiev, Ukraine. "Bad Roads" premiered as a theatre play in London in 2017. In 2020, the author herself directed the play as an award-winning film, which will be shown at the opening of the 2024 Playwrights' Festival.
